2-way Drop Connector

StoneL

  Drop connectors provide a reliable, safe method of connecting slave devices to
the bus cable. Protected drop connectors limit the current passing from the bus
to the drop leg to prevent fault conditions on the drop from affecting the bus.

Switch Protected Drop Connector



Switch proteted drop connector
Designed for AS-Interface networks, this switched drop
connector offers a very convenient method to remove,
replace, or repair a device while the balance of the network
remains on-line. It allows the user to disconnect a drop
segment from the rest of the bus by flipping a switch.

Junction Module
Keep bus energized during maintenance in Division 1 areas

FM approved factory-sealed leads are available for the drop
leg of the switched drop connector. In Division 1 areas the
conduit must not be opened to atmosphere when wires are energized. However, with factory-sealed leads no energized
wires are exposed to the atmosphere when the drop leg is
opened or removed for maintenance even though the bus
trunk remains energized.
